The young men and women that are accepted into the OCCC program have encountered many obstacles most of their lives, preventing them from succeeding. 

This program helps them overcome the barriers and provides them the following opportunities:

• On-the-job training

• Earning a paycheck while completing the program

• Preset bonuses for a variety of accomplishments including perfect attendance and forklift certification

• Access to our on-site food bank

• An education program to earn their high school diploma which includes tutoring

•Scholarships that can be applied to post secondary education such as college or vocational school

• Attending a variety of on-site workshops to develop life skills, such as financial literacy, family planning and smoking cessation

• Transportation assistance including rides to work and
bus passes

• Access to on-site AA/NA meetings

• Referrals to other agencies to assist with childcare, medical, housing, legal and family counseling needs

• Transition services through our Corps-2-Career program, including: job search assistance, developing interview skills, writing a resume and computer literacy
